What is
CE marking of pressure equipment?
Many products, including pressure equipment, must be CE marked in order to be placed on the market or put into service in the EU. The CE marking is evidence that the pressure equipment has been assessed and is in conformity with Directive 2014/68/EU and complies with the essential safety requirements of the Directive.
The CE marking of pressure equipment is regulated by Royal Decree 709/2015, of 24 July, establishing the essential safety requirements for the marketing of pressure equipment, which transposes European Directive 2014/68/EU into Spanish law. The aforementioned directive repeals and replaces Directive 97/23/EC.
It is applicable to all pressure equipment with a maximum admissible pressure (MPP) greater than 0.5 bar and which has been introduced into the Community market after 29 May 2002.

How can we help you?
The CE certification issued by Eurocontrol certifies conformity with Directive 2014/68/EU.
Certification starts with a formal application by the manufacturer or his authorised representative.
The conformity assessment process would start, if necessary according to the assessment module, by reviewing the design phase and performing a specific assessment of the non-harmonised materials covered by the manufacturer in the product design.
This would be followed by the review of the manufacturing phase, including a final inspection, on the equipment already manufactured. Access to the manufacturer's facilities and preparation of the tests or trials shall be the responsibility of the applicant, as well as any modifications or corrections that may be necessary to obtain certification.
The applicant or his authorised representative shall provide the minimum supporting documentation indicated by the inspector and/or the technical management in order to be able to carry out the assessment.
After the favourable conformity assessment of all the applicable essential safety requirements, the corresponding certificate of conformity with the Directive is issued
