What is
ATP inspection?
ATP inspection, the name by which the inspection by a control body of vehicles transporting perishable goods is usually known, responds to the need to preserve people's health, as this type of transport can put it at risk if it does not comply with all the safety measures established by national and international legislation.
Royal Decree 237/2000, of 18 February, establishes the technical specifications to be met by special vehicles for the land transport of foodstuffs at regulated temperatures and the procedures for checking compliance with the specifications, assigning to the authorised control bodies a large part of the functions relating to the controls and certifications of this type of vehicle.
