What is Radon?
Reasons to measure radon in your company

1. Current regulatory compliance:
- Royal Decree 1029/2021: Obliges companies to assess radon exposure in workplaces located in risk areas or with subway spaces. If levels exceed 300 Bq/m2, corrective measures must be implemented to protect workers' health.
- Technical Building Code (CTE) DB-HS6: Establishes that newly constructed buildings must incorporate preventive measures to limit radon concentration, especially in areas with high probability of accumulation.
Occupational health and corporate responsibility:
A safe work environment is critical to well-being and productivity. Measuring and monitoring radon levels is not only a legal obligation, but also a sign of your company's commitment to its employees and their health.
3. Most susceptible areas in Spain:
Spain presents regions with high probability of radon accumulation, especially in areas with granitic or limestone soils. Although these regions are the most vulnerable, radon can accumulate in any poorly ventilated building, even outside these areas.
Benefits of acting now
- Guaranteed regulatory compliance: avoids penalties and costs resulting from non-compliance with current and future regulations.
- Employee protection: creates a safe working environment, reducing health risks and improving job satisfaction.
- Cost optimization: implementing proactive measures is now cheaper than facing emergency adaptations or fines.
- Corporate image: reinforces your company's reputation as responsible and committed to sustainability and health.

How many measurements do you need to make?

Measurements should be performed under standard conditions, preferably during the heating season, when radon levels tend to be higher.
